You smiled when i stutterd an answer back to you,
My eyes fill with tears as i remember are first Hello and our last good-bye,
I turned around to tell you i loved you that i really meant it this time ,
You closed your eyes and looked away as the I rolled off my tongue
you told me "don't, i can't do this anymore" and i was to stupid to try and stop you,
this is what could have been,
We could have loved,
Had children,
Gotten married,
And died together,
but life has away of screwing you over,
