The Beauty Of Life

What just happened ?
Someone please tell me.
Then the nurse came in,
She said my mom just had her baby.

My mind was spinning.
I was so happy.
I am finally a big sister.
I can’t wait to see this baby.

I had to wait about an hour before I could see him.
My heart was beating like a snare drum.
Then my dad came out of the nurses station.
He said “I just saw the baby. Now you can come.”

I was so excited that I thought I’d burst.
I almost ran yo see the baby.
Once I got there my mom was holding him.
I walked over to him real slowly.

When I saw his face I almost cried.
He was so beautiful like a sunset.
He was cuter than anything in the world.
It was a face I couldn’t forget.

I wasn’t sure if this was real,
Was it a dream?
I didn’t think anything could be this beautiful.
But I guess things aren’t what they seem.

He is older now.
But I still see that little baby.
He has the same adorable smile.
It brings back that memory.

In my brain that memory will set.
It is something I will never forget
