I Would Write All the Above
From now on, I write letters.
Letters can hurt more than words,
But I can put more thought into what I have to say.
If I would write one letter to each person I love that’s in my life.
I would write to them how I feel,
I would write to them what I see when I look at them.
If I would write a letter to my mom,
I would write her to save her tears for happy memories,
Go to bed each night knowing her family is safe,
Always follow a “goodbye” with an “I love you,”
Lead the way to happiness and success,
And gradually release her children one-step at a time.
We have to fix our love for each other now, before it’s too late.
If I would write a letter to my dad,
I would write to him that he is the only guy that can walk me down the isle,
He can never have another “daddy’s baby girl”,
No male figure will ever take his spot,
Hold on to my mother like no other,
And to keep me in his heart forever and always.
We have to make the best father-daughter relationship before grandkids take over.
If I would write a letter to my sister,
I would write her that no matter what; I’ve got her back,
But sisters doesn’t tell on each other when one does wrong,
I love her even though I can’t stand her sometimes,
When we grow old, it’s only going to be her and I in this world alone,
And we’re not going to be able to run and tell mom.
We have to live together, and not against each other for God and our future.
If I would write a letter to my old best friend,
I would write her all the great memories we had together,
Bring up the best-drunken nights,
Ask her what ever happened to our close relationship,
See what she thinks happened between us,
And then tell her who really came and broke us up.
Maybe then, she will realize who was always there since someone took her cookies in pre-school, and who just randomly popped her head in our conversation one day.
If I would write a letter to my grandparents,
I would write them thank you so much for putting up with my parents,
Lets make a date to look at pictures from every member of our family,
See what are some old traditions from when they were kids we can bring back,
Ask them what is a trip they always wanted to go on,
And make sure they know I love them, I will never forget them, and they will always be treasured in my heart.
I will make sure they know they will be remembered by grandkids and greats that will be coming in the future.
If I would write a letter to my guardian angles,
I would write them my own little prayer,
Write it from my heart,
Say it every night before I go to bed,
Let them realize I miss each and every one of them,
And hold me tight when I am alone.
After this, maybe I will feel safer than I am now.
From now on, I write letters.
Letters can hurt more than words,
But I can put more thought into what I have to say.
If I would write one letter to each person I love that’s in my life.
I would write all the above.
