Barren blue walls and rough glistening gray floors, shattered and brused.
Every inch painted with broken white, splattered red; jagged steel.
Smoke sliently floats in the air as
three thousands hearts assend or sink.
Ever carrying this tragic hope.

This poem was inspired by 9/11.
