Pain and Scars
These pain and scars won't go away
No matter how much I cry throughout the day.
The pain I feel is unbearable
I can scream and shout, but no one can let them out.
The scars my heart contains, won't disappear.
They are just faint memories of what once was here.
I can cry and try to recover who I once was.
But no amount of tears can clear my heart from the damage that now appears.
Life contains throbbing pain, which is a situation most must face.
The pain of heartache, the pain of death, the pain of hurtfulness that won't lay to rest.
Old scars, new scars, they are all the same.
They're both suffering that's difficult to make go away.
Sometimes we can cover up the pain, and we sometimes feel like we've erased the scars
but the pain will soon resurface, and the scars will last a lifetime.
