my heart in the sand

My heart is in the sand,
It’s shown all across the land.
It glistens in the sun,
It’s never going to run.

My heart is big and round,
Somewhere it can be found.
The water just hits the tips,
But it still doesn’t flip.

When people pass it they smile,
And it stays there for a while.
The summer will come and go,
But that’s just the flow.

It will fade away,
But my love will never go away.
It will always be in my heart,
And it will never be far apart.

i was in freshmen year and we had to write a poem about a picture that we picked. so i picked a beach.
