"It takes a second to say I love you but a lifetime to show it" " Love is like the air we breath. It may not always be seen, but it is always felt, used, and needed"

My heart pounds
As my sticks
Bounce up and down

The lights shine
As tons of eyes
Watch me on stage

The rhythm of my heart
Beats with my drums
At a steady beat

The beat becomes smooth
Making me want to dance
With the girl of my dreams

The rhythm runs down my spine
So people call it,
The drummers rhythm

I wrote this poem on September 16, 2010. I was in my jazz band class when I heard my friend start to play the drums. He played a rocking beat that was crazy good. He made the whole jazz band get up and start to dance. Drumming is his hobby and he is great at the drums. The poem you are about to read is the feelings a drummer is feeling when he plays. I hope you enjoy this poem.
