The Struggle
Words are spoken.
Your world is broken.
And the pain you feel,
And the tears you cry
Are just a part of what's passing by.
Pain drips
And you begin to loose your grip
On reality and the hope you hold
And all you can do is watch it slip away.
Your heart is broken
You're hardly breathing
And you won't even try
To stop the poison from flowing
All you can do is scream
Cry
And wish for a change.
You beg
You plead
For the help of a passer by
As you struggle to find
The will to survive.
The anesthetic sets in
You feel your crushed little world
Begin to spin.
Colors swirl
Night turns to day
And day becomes a darkness
Slowly consuming you
As reality slips away.
Listen to me my love
Wake up for me
Hold your head high
And just keep trying
To be strong for me.
And when it seems there is nothing left
And the world has turned its back
I'll still be here.
Don't let fear suffocate you
Don't let the darkness drag you down again.
And never let yourself forget
The lessons you've learned
From what has passed away.
