My life
Everyone tries to tell me what to do with my life
But I know I must choose that for myself
To choose from things that isn’t black and white
They might know my past, but not my future

So I tell them no, I will not do what you want, I will do what I want It’s my life not yours

My parents tell me to take French
But I take Italian
My Uncle wants me to practice acting
But I practice writing stories

And I tell them no, I will not do what you want, I will do what I want
It’s my life not yours

They tried to control my life, but I didn’t let them
I always know that I’ll have to go my own way, not stay with the group
So I learned all the skills I need to become independent
I make my own roads and bridges

This is my way of telling you that you can choose your path
Everyone’s life has bumps and forks
You will have time when you want to fade into the background
But you choose for you, not anyone else
