Poppy-stained lips, sweet grass green eyes
have been left out for the wind's wishes.

Weak roots tether down
ragged stem

Restless hummingbirds grow dependent;
vines tangle limbs

Peel petals precisely
to find fading colours.

For I am left wilting, please
Forget-me-not.
