We Are A Broken Mirror
The immortality instilled by ignorance beckons the angels of death...
they mock us as we live wondering what will happen next,
and not if it will indeed happen.
The hearts that beat around us stop; constricting, tired,
brutally misused for the pleasure of the narcassistic beings
that think they can own their own souls.
We are a bloodthirsty animal, destroying ourselves easier
than we can destroy others.
The lights dwindle.
The Sun, the revered God of the ages that have past,
the epitome of our religions, has been recreated;
transformed into a flawed, fake source of life.
But when the darkness comes, the lights will falter and die,
and the Sun will rise as strong as ever.
And as such we are the blaphemous image of a revered being,
and we too will falter and die when the darkness comes.
We are the flawed, fake source of life,
the broken mirror of the Eternal Light.
