dragons
the way I am,
is not how you pictured me, or what you think I need
but you tell me, that I, I am wrong
If you only you knew, my darlings
knew about the oceans and the tides and what the dragon has for breakfast
Then I will take you to the far ends of the corners or the world
if only you pack that light blue top I bought you, or the purple hair dye
and that you take my hand when we are on the beach, and my waist when we are at home
my home, not yours, there I ask you to pretend I don't exist
to look over me with the glaze in your eyes of childhood
and so I will take you away, to places like Peru and Vineswayla though neither of us can spell it
I will want to take you there anyway.
And all I ask in return is that you kiss my forehead, and hold me tight, while we walk in the water
and when we return to home, pretend that I am gone

Thank you
I like that you spelled "venezuala" wrong, I too am not sure that I spelled it write.
I love your words, short and sweet, unepected and full of hinting fairtales, which flit around purple corners in purple dragon's lairs.
Thank you, is all that I know.
