My heart is pounding
My thoughts start racing
Excitement flows through my veins
It’s almost my turn
I can hardly wait
My songs want out of their chains
When it’s my turn
Up the curtains go
It’s time to unlock my cage
Now it’s up to the crowd
But nobody knows
The mysteries of an open stage
“Just give what you got
Just pour your heart out
Sing and play with all your rage
Let the crowd know
That you own the show
That this is your open stage
