Meaningless movements of my mouth
That’s all you see
As emotions come pouring out
Saturating the air
And fading into nothing
Your eyes told me a story
One of promise
One of hope
One without an end.
But that meant nothing
You left the pages unfinished
and unfulfilled
All that remains are the blank pages
to tell the rest of our story
