Trying Not to Think About You

I try not to think about you,
but it’s just so hard.
When ever I see you and
you smile at me
I can’t help
but smile right back at you.
When I’m sitting there
right next to you
I try so hard
not to look at you,
because I’m afraid I’ll never look away.
When ever I’m with you
I all ways want to let my guard down,
but just as it starts to slip
I remember that
you
have
a
girlfriend.
So I can’t dream about
what we might have someday become.
Because ya’ll look just
so
happy.
And that is why
I try so hard
not to think about
you.
