Midnight Canvas MAG
It was one star shining
in the midnight sky.
Depending on who watched,
its mood was ever-shifting.
To one, it was the epitome
of individualism,
rebellion, uniqueness.
A gladiator daring
others for a challenge.
To another it is tragic,
a soul void of warmth.
Isolated, solitary.
A lone wolf starved
of the nourishment of friendship.
In the stars a person
sees a reflection.
The midnight canvas
is a mirror of humanity,
more ancient than
philosophy or religion.
Yet now the stars are invisible,
fading out one by one.
What does that mean for us?
