"The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep." -Robert Frost

Walking with the sea above our heads
Our feet supported by the clouds
So the world would be if the world was upside down.

Our souls would not be stained with sin,
On every child’s face: a grin,
So the world would be if the world was upside down.

Cars would not run on blood
Cities would not drown in mud
So the world would be if the world was upside down.

War would be discussed not fought
People would not be bought
So the world would be if the world was upside down.

Forests wouldn’t cry out in pain
Politics: not a self-serving game
So the world would be if the world was upside down.

Our oceans pure and cleansed of trash
Our crops, not covered in poison and ash
So the world would be if the world was upside down.

Your neighbor’s color wouldn’t matter
No one’s dreams would fall and shatter
No one’s love as fallacious as vapor,
And money would just be paper.

This poem is obviously about/inspired by, all the terrible current events and catastrophes that plague our planet.

This is amazing! I feel the same way about all of this. I wrote a poem similar to this for a school project. It's one of my favorite subjects to write about. Thank you!
