"I think that if I ever have kids, and they are upset, I won't tell them people are starving in China or anything like that because it won't change the fact that they were upset. And even if someone has it much worse, that doesn't really change the fact that you have what you have. Good and bad."
- The Perks of Being a Wallflower, by Stephen Chbosky

Lying here,
Waiting for sleep,
Hoping for peace.

Crying here,
Screams in my head,
Down in one breath.

Fighting here,
Begging for change,
Decisions are made.

Losing here,
No more to take,
Hands that do shake.

Falling here,
Must escape now,
Wait and I'll drown.

From bottle,
To hand.
One look,
To mouth.

Peace at last.

The author's comments:
I wrote this ages ago. But it's one of few pieces of mine that I actually like.

Thanks :)

This piece would be about a year and a half old now, maybe a little less. I don't write much. I'm more science orientated. Writing doesn't come easily to me.
