The small bit of thought,
That crosses my mind isn’t enough,
To keep out the major conflict at hand.
I toss the mere idea,
Back and forth,
Back and forth,
STOP.
My mind blackens as I slip into a light sleep,
Only three words remain in my head,
Back and forth.
As they echo in nothing.
