Daddy What Happened?

Daddy do you remember seeing
the sparkle in my eye's
the gleaming smile across my face
when you would tell me you loved me

Daddy do you remember
wiping my tears away when
friendships went wrong
putting a smile on my face no matter
what was wrong

Daddy do you remember the day
you left for work
and came back
a different man

Daddy do you remember how
you crushed my heart when
you told me to go away
just at the time i needed you most

Daddy what happened to
the man that would try
to fix any problem
no matter how confusing or mixed up
it may have been

Daddy what happened to
the man that told me to
follow my dreams no matter what
what happened to you daddy?
