a friendly enclave of passersby
each with a blue-ink quill
and a scroll of literary criticisms
the beer drinking is here
and the broken glass mosaics
dusty underwood in a Michelangelo piece
a dreamy foam crusts around
the lips and suck in rapturous
delight the soap suds of lost whiskey
along this bend I travel
and rejoice in optic museums
ancient coliseums
and a flask of olive oil and a tunic
