I Wanna Go There!

I feel alone
I’m stuck here
Dreaming about going there
I wish I could hop on a plane
And fly there
Where maybe
My dream of becoming somebody
Would come true
But I’m stuck here
Far away from there.

What a shame.
God let me go there some day!
Please I love my family,
I adore my friends,
But please get me out of here!

All they care about are sports,
The arts are never valued here.
I wish they were
But that’s a dream that won’t come true…

I work hard,
I earn respect,
I do my chores,
I get good grades
Why can’t I go there?
Don’t I deserve to go there?
I hope so.
