To dance

Another day has disintegrated,
Awake at dawn and getting ready,
The cold bites as I slip on tights and a leotard,
In the car I pass parties and friends,
I just turn my head and keep going,
To my real life,
I dance for hours,
Spilling my emotions in every plie,
Shedding a tear in every jump,
Sighing away my heartbreak and sorrow
With every glance at the mirror,
I never want to leave this temple of passion,
My heart never wants to return home,
Where its constantly slashed and torn at,
It wants to stay where it can linger freely,
Where it can express and heal itself
Without interruption.
Where dancing is its heaven and I am its god.
