Who is to say what's proper? If someone said wearing a codfish on your head was proper, would you wear one?--Alice,

Amazing eyes that shine like stars
Being kind to those at heart
Caring for the time to pass
Doomed to make salvation last
Everybody shouting loud
Failing to avoid the crowd
Going ‘round the heart so fast
Hating time that will not last
In my head I know the truth
Just a wasted piece of youth
Killing thoughts that bound my brain
Lingering throughout my being
Many shadows upon the wall
Noises coming from the hall
Opening eyes to see the stars
Pending dreams that seem too far
Questioning the galaxies
Running through the forests’ trees
Seams burst and roses peeling
Trying to revive the feeling
Under the weight of the world around
Vastly lost in the underground
Wilting roses of black and red
Existed darkly in my head
Youth is wasted and youth is lost, but
Zooming years will pay that cost.

I wrote this one day while I was in school. I ended up really liking it.
