Letter Written On The Wall

August 6, 2010
By Anonymous

The letters written on the wall
Once screamed the sorrows of a broken soul
Words spelled out in blood
Saying what her lungs wouldn’t let her
The oxygen was becoming scarce in her brain
Everything faded to a blur
With her last breath she leaves her handprint on the wall.
Years later people will walk by this wall
Run their hands down it as they turn a corner
Oblivious to the suicide note that once lay there.
It been painted over
Leaving what was once there only a faded memory.

Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take... but by the moments that take your breath away.

Whoa.....Intense. This is a great poem! Good job!
