Smile
I know
your
hue
the summer in your skin,
overt, like a morning web,
bare to the impartial sunrise,
Still I marvel
at your melody, strung unbroken through days
born in embers, it plays so sweetly,
by moments, in pulses it breaks upon my shores
washing the sands, to make them muddy and rich..
but, it is your smile, that has me..
it has me bounded to possibility, sharp to daytimes thirst,
the thirst that is slaked by slivers in your laugh, traces of the universe..
that smile of yours, reposing my totality..
ill smile now
with one arm to the skies
and the other
around you
