Phenomenal Women, I Am
Love is not an easy thing
That I have had to face
My cruel harsh days
Never fade away
When I see your face
It’s hard when I think about
Those lovely summer nights
You were my knight in shining armor
And everything was alright
I cried when you told me you loved you
And that nothing would ever change
But after you learned my weakness
I began to feel the shame
You began to take me for granted
I felt like an idiot
For telling you my game
I never thought that love
Would ever treat me this way
You’re cruel and unbearable
And I really need my space
It’s really over between us
So you most definitely cannot stay
I gained more strength
Since you wanted to treat me this way
Thanks to your selfish ways
I am a phenomenal woman
Ready to take on anything
Especially if it tries to break me
Or crush this spirit inside
