Cowerdice and Strength

When it’s time to give up,
When it’s time to give in,
Will you find the courage to let them back in?
Will you open the doors,
Or hand them a key,
Or just turn your back to your friends and family?

Every bridge that is burnt,
Is another semblance of hurt,
The pain I never let anyone see.
Is it strength in not standing for it anymore,
Or just another excuse I’ve been looking for?
