I tried to make It slow
But It's steadfast

I am nothing in comparison
I tried to calm It
But It's the true tempest
It never sleeps untill it doesn't matter
And It always matters
It's ruthless and forgiving
But always, always changing.

It is forever constant.

It watches and records in an untouchable way
It can giveth life and take it away
It defines
It reminds
It never listens
But always demands

It asks of us what we cannot ask of It,
It destroys worlds and allows life,
It crumbles the untouchable and won't respond if you ask twice.

Without It we'd be nothing.
And with it we are bound.

All we ask for is more of It,
And all we have is less.

Instead of stopping to smell the roses
We ask for It's permission to
We try to steal It
And It, in return, steals everything from us.
We all say "if I just had a little more"
Just. a little.

Life? HA. Life has nothing on it's enabler.

Death? HA. Death is determined by It.

People? HA. It rules their existance.

Power? HA. Only given to others by one of It's minions.

Everyone tries to outsmart it but it is pure genius,
It is impenetrable and unshakable,
The rock on which universes are founded.

Once upon a time for every man it starts and stops But never stops
It's only just begun,

And It never ends

It is power. Silent power.

It is constant. Forever constant.

People want to know why I do this, why I write such gross stuff. I like to tell them I have the heart of a small boy... and I keep it in a jar on my desk.

Now that we're here,
It's so far away
All the struggle we thought was in vain
All the mistakes,
One life contained
They all finally start to go away
Now that we're here its so far away
And I feel like I can face the day
I can forgive and I’m not ashamed to be the person that I am today

this is really good but i seriously have no idea what it is lol at first i thought it was god, then some kind of drug but then in the end pretty much everything i thought of didn't fit the part, so what is it?!
