The Act
You'll never know
How much I hate you
I'll never tell you
How the affair broke my heart
Or how selfish I think you are
I will never forgive you
But I doubt you'll apologize
You apologized to him
But forgot about me
You never thought about
How many nights you made me cry
Because I knew.
I KNEW!
And I never told him
I thought that you would
But no.
For three years, no.
He had to catch you.
I can't believe I trusted you
I hope your new house burns down
And I never see you again
You come in to kiss me goodnight
I smile and say, "I love you Mom."
But it's all just an act.
I will never love you again.
