When my fingers lock into the spaces between your fingers,
My faults disappear into the world's tectonic faults and I feel as if you are opening the vaults that envelop my entire being in secrecy.
For one second can we please take a second glance and realize that for the first time I feel like I'm not a second choice.
Take my heart in your hands and watch the sands of time take the minutes away one by one as we wait for a sign.
We can just let the earth quake because it won't make me change my mind, we fit like puzzle pieces and as I piece the parts of my life together I want you to know that I understand.
When my fingers lock into the spaces between your fingers,
And my faults disappear into the world,
I just want to take a second and make it last forever.
I will slip through the cracks and you after me, and make the ground shake with everything we hold close to our hearts.
Just lock my fingers into yours, for one second.
We will make it last forever.
