Yellow and Blue

Summertime is yellow and blue
Big fluffy clouds
And thunderstorms
Rain that pounds on your windows as you sleep
In your soft bed that is always
Covered in giant white pillows
Which all smell of home
Home where in summers long gone past
You learned to carefully
Ride your bike in the long winding driveway
That seemed to cover half this world
But now simply leads to the stoop
Where you sit in the sunshine
Staring up at that all blue sky.
