Inside my imagination
Is where your love lies
Fragile in its stillness

A friendship left to fall off your top bunk
Intertwining souls wrapped around knotted wood ladders
Begging for an escape
To a land below a rugged frame

Stems of steel strive to free your strong grip
Through triumphs with no thoughts of movement
Shouldn’t a peaceful rest prevail instead?

When the mattress begins to sink,
My eyes no longer struggle to see,
And my imaginative story ends in nirvana
Our Stems shed their armor

I shall hope that now I will blossom
