Sensational

A cookie:
Sometimes, it is so wonderfully fresh—so delectably warm!
One taste, and you are ravenous for more.
Addicting, pleasurable, delightful, simple.
Occasionally, the lucky taster is surprised by new ingredients, variations of the recipe,
a goldmine of extra flavor.
Sometimes crumbly and sugar free, but usually sublime.
Each cookie tastes a bit different, but pleases the pallet nonetheless.
Each cookie has a purpose.

Life:
Sometimes, it is so wonderfully fresh—so delectably warm!
One taste, and you are ravenous for more.
Addicting, pleasurable, delightful, simple.
Occasionally, the lucky individual is surprised by new ingredients, variations of the recipe,
a goldmines of extra flavor.
Sometimes crumbly and sugar free, but usually sublime.
Each life tastes a bit different, but pleases the pallet nonetheless.
Each life has a purpose.

Dear inksplatters21,

This is lovely! I really liked the comparison, and now I want a cookie. ^.^
I love the very last line the most, the "Each life has a purpose." one, because it's as true as they come.

Although I like this article, I wish you wouldn't have said the same exact thing for both pieces being compared. Like, used synonyms instead of not changing it at all.

Still, I really liked it. Awesome job!

Sincerely,

HIPPIEatHEART_writerINsoul

:)

I loved this! I would never have thought to make this comparison. But the way you wrote it, wisely and descriptively, seemed to make perfect sense.

Ah, life is just like a... cookie?

This is really cool. So clever! I love how you compared a cookie to life. I remember when I was little I actually wrote something similar to this, but it was comparing a red bouncy ball to life (yeah, I know that doesn't seem to make sense lol).  Would you mind commenting on some of my work? Thanks.

i love how you repeat, but with the word life instead of cookie.  starts off really normal, and then digs deeper.

I loved this!  It was excellent how you described life and a cookie in the same way.  Amazing job.
