Feels like on top of the world
Smell the auditorium
Hear the sound of my own voice echoing
Off the walls, off the curtains
Feel the hollow, noisy stage beneath my feet
I see the audience: a blur of bodies and faces
There’s clapping, clapping
Adrenaline rush, excitement
Then it’s over and I wish I could do it all over again
