How you look at me now
Makes me realize how much you love me
How you look at me now
Makes me realize how much you care

That look in your eyes
Says you would do anything
To make me happy
Anything to please me

It’s like your eyes
Look right through mine
Just like mine
Can look through yours

I see the passion in your eyes
You don’t try to show it
You try to hide it
I know

But it still shines through
You make it obvious to the world
That you love me
Just by the look in your eyes

I know that look
I’ve used it before
I know the feelings
Behind that look
That look in your eyes

The way that you look at me now
Is the way I used to look at him

I wish I could still look at him like that
But unlike you
I can hide it
Hide it very well

So I know the feelings
You feel when I look at me
Because I have those feelings
When I look at him

i find that it is the sad things that people write about are what sounds the most beautiful when you express it into a poem.  this is powerful and great. good job!!!! keep writing!!!! and same with mercedes...help me too!

my poems took like 2 months to get accepted, tops, and as long as you write something they'll accept it, it's just that the people who choose who gets accepted are working for the thousands, if not millions of teens who are submitting work. photos take about a week. it's frustrating... but at least you get to show people your work, you know?

it was a great poem, and i love the way you explained it. and the ending was sad, because things like that are always so difficult and heartbreaking. good job tho:)

i recently joined the site and a TON of my work hasn't yet been accepted. only two pieces have. but i'd love for you to view them all the same and see what you think if your interested:)
