For too long i rejected reality...
Afraid to accept the truth;
a dream I kept so hopefully.
My heart was teetering on edge;
each day a gamble,
wondering if that day would be the day it would finally fall;
the day that dream would die.
And today--
was that day.
Reality came crashing down, mercilessly.
I know it will eventually pass,
but for now...
the pain is too much.
And the worst part of all?
He will never ever know.
