“Writing is a form of personal freedom. It frees us from the mass identity we see in the making all around us. In the end, writers will write not to be outlaw heroes of some underculture but mainly to save themselves, to survive as individuals.”

I never imagined that falling for you would bring this pain.
Instead of catching me,
you let me fall hard.
You acted like you'd catch me,
but when I let myself fall,
you backed away.
You made me feel the pain of rejection and hurt.
Then you come back to me,
And tell me you're sorry,
And say you'll catch me this time.
You hurt me before,
But before I can think of that,
I'm already falling again.

Will you catch me this time?

This poem was inspired by my feelings towards a guy I really liked at the time.
