Me...

Sitting in my room
Thoughts course through my mind
Changing so much,
Did you even notice me?
Hair hanging long and loose
Falling into those glassy eyes
Makeup cakes the face
Trying to hide all imperfections
Bones threaten to poke through
The skin that lies taut over my body
Complete transformation
Self-mutilation
All this I have gone through
Just to get one look from you
I've changed my body beyond recognition
Hiding myself in the deepest corner of my mind
Past the point of no return
Can this hidden soul be revived?
I'm tired of being an animated doll
That you play with and toss away
Now looking at this person created
I vow to start the long process
Of forming back into an actual person
And leaving what you wanted me to be
For what I desire
Never again shall someone change me
Steel resolve flood my veins
And a new fire burns in my heart
As I realize who I am
And more importantly
That I love being me
