Different... is that what i am?
Is that What I am labeled?
Sorry if I thought I was human, and not just the color of my skin, my gender, my sexuality, whatever else you think is wrong with me
Theres more than meets the eye
Will you bother to look and see
What you might find beneath the
stereotype barrier we all create?
I'm a person so...
Look past my skin, my disability, and whatever else you see on the surface of the me
And look deep inside to find what you can't handle
The true me

The author's comments:
This was a poem that I made for one of my English projects. The project was about racism so I wrote this poem which had to do with judging people based on their appearance.
