surrounds you
Total silence
overwhelms you
Complete simplicity
is forgotten
Complete hatred
Wants you
Convincing convincing
Convicting convicting
Convincing. Forgetting.
Count all that's lost
count all that's gained
Nothing really matters
When nothing's changed.

The author's comments:
I've always had a little bit of trouble keeping true to myself and who I really am. I wrote this as a personal reminder to myself to never forget who I am because if I don't have myself who do I have? I don't have anything. I hope that anyone who reads this gets the message that if you lose yourself its worth getting back or else you just fall further and further from the apple tree. It's so easy to change from good to bad in a second, but it's not worth it. It's definitely not worth it.
