how the fire consumes my heart,
how the fire burns it to ash,
how it burns the coals inside my heart,

for the fire that once was there,
how its flames were everywhere,
without a doubt it was a scorching soul trapped in a frozen heart

how i miss the flames that smothered it apart
how i still suffer it's sting
how it nurtures me yet tortures me
( I hear its a cautionary tale not to get too close to the flame)
