Poor Lonely Heart

Poor lonely heart

shivering on the cold, cold street

without a noble knight in sight

to rescue it from undeserving hands



for a shadow looming above

will snatch it from where it rests upon

and bruise it- it will

dreadful marks that time will never heal



Pitter-patter

comes down the rain

drowning the battered little soul

that wretchedly awaits

its lonesome end.
