Swallowed By Depression

The sand is squishing
Beneath my toes
As we walk
Side by side
I can't believe
You said you loved me
The wind is blowing
Away my hair
The hair you
Brushed away so recently
I can't believe
You're gone
The sun is burning
My shoulders
But I don't care
Because I still
Can't believe
You didn't say good-bye
The water is lapping
At my tan legs
I can't believe
I'm going to do this
The tide is rising
And it swallows me into
The growing ocean
Darkness surrounds me
And I'm relieved
Because now I know
No one will ever
Break my heart again
