Summer night
Above the suckle bushes sight
I shiver under creamy moonlight,
A quiver in the bushes wake
Signals that my fast will soon break,
This prick and tickle, acupuncture’s delight
Of honeyed grass and decadent night,
The buzz of peepers near the lake
A tingle of lips, my teeth soon ache,
I am full and filling fast
Of this night’s sweet repast.
