Look to the Falling Rain
Look to the falling rain,
How it knows no limit.
Then how it rolls down the window-
Soon it falls into a puddle.
As it first falls, it is itself-
Alone, pure, free.
It twirls and turns to its heart delight,
Flutters right, then left- alone and falling.
Closer to the ground, it becomes aware.
Before the speed was wanted,
It wanted to explore-
He can’t stop- now his fate approaches
Suddenly he can travel no further,
His freedom is taken as he hits his target;
He must now join his friends
In the puddle that has accumulated.
He is no longer seen- no longer free,
He has joined so many like him.
He cannot be found.
He is lost in his destiny.
