I am from parents who were there to comfort me when i would fall
From a place that keeps my old faviorite books and shows
I from from my old baby blue room with stars that would glow
And the smell of pancakes on a Sunday morning
I am from wearing a helmet with a bike or sometimes ignoring the warning

I am from fireworks on Labor Day and barbequed food
I am from a tree named Mr. Tree that could brighten any mood
From my brothers soccer tournaments and dinner at snack stands
From chorus concerts where my family were my fans
I am from roasting marshmallows and singing
From holidays and eating delicious foods family were bringing

I am from memories on pictures that are fading in my head
From coming home from Camp Hoover
and a newly made bed
I am from fights with my brothers and forgiveness that follows
I am from a family whose hearts are far from hollow
My childhood is flooded with life long memories and thoughts
But I am happy with my childhood beacause I like what it brought
