Change
I was quiet, used, and confused.
I remember being left.
I heard all of the name calling.
I saw all of the negatives.
I worried about being alone.
I thought it was only me in this world.
But I want to change.
I am a believer in hope.
I think there is so much I can do.
I need to make a positive impact.
I try to be proud of what I do.
I feel strength and the will-power to do what is right.
I forgive those who did me wrong and underestimated me.
Now I can change.
I will be a proud woman.
I choose to believe in myself.
I dream of being strong like my mom.
I hope to be successful.
I predict I will do a lot of good in people’s lives.
I know I will have courage.
I will change.
