Original Sin
The dainties rest on the counter
 Ready to be ravished.
They call my name in harmony:
A melodic chant summoning me to Sin.
 Resistance is futile.
 The call is all encompassing
And soon my mind is devoured.
 My heart shot with uncertainty
As my body stands still in shock.
 An indecisive hand slowly,
 Yet steadily,
 Stretches itself towards those delights:
Heaven served up on a silver platter,
 Tantalizing and tasty.
 My tongue twitches with excitement
And my throats thirsts for satisfaction.
 Pure pleasure awaits me.
Just grab it. Reach out and grab it.
 Consequences? No such thing.
Really, none? Not a single one; but maybe.
But it's no big deal, Right?
 Dammit.
