If I was an artist
I would paint you the sky
If I was still a young girl
I would sing loudly and out of tune for you
If I was sleeping
I would need you to tell me stories until I drift away
If I was a writer
I would write you a funny story
But I’m none and all of these things
I’m a poet
So here is my poem

The author's comments:
I thought of how I love the arts, like writing, singing, drawing and painting. Although I deny that I think of those as more than a past time thing, I kind of do. I am all these things mentioned, but none of them.
